Construction begins on the interchange between National Highway 14B and the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway.

DNO - On the morning of December 19th, the Da Nang City People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the intersection of National Highway 14B and the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway (in Ba Na commune). Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, attended and delivered a speech.

The project for the intersection of National Highway 14B with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway is invested and managed by the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agriculture Projects, with a total investment of 537 billion VND.

The investment project involves completing the interchange between National Highway 14B and the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway, constructing an overpass over the expressway, utilizing the already invested portion of the four direct right-turn ramps and completing them according to the approved scale, and adding four indirect left-turn ramps.

The drainage project includes extending existing drainage systems, matching the current opening size, and installing new transverse culverts on branch lines to ensure drainage; and designing a longitudinal drainage system along National Highway 14B.

In addition, the project includes completing the lighting system for National Highway 14B within the interchange area, lighting for RAMP roads within the interchange area, lighting for the expressway section within the interchange area, lighting for left-turn lanes within the interchange area, and the lighting control cabinet connected to the central control center.

The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in June 2027.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh emphasized that the project of the intersection of National Highway 14B with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway is a strategically important transportation project, aiming to definitively resolve the traffic safety issues at the existing intersection; and at the same time maximize the efficiency of the expressway.

Upon completion, the project will not only alleviate traffic congestion in the western part of the city but also open up new opportunities for socio-economic development for the city and the entire region.

"This is the effort and determination of the Party Committee and the city government in concretizing the Party's resolutions on infrastructure development and improving the quality of life for the people," the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested that the investor demonstrate a sense of responsibility, organize project management in a rigorous and scientific manner, and achieve the project's objectives in terms of progress, quality, and efficiency; especially regarding land clearance, and work with contractors to seriously implement the commitments made by all parties and according to the signed contract.
