Leaders of the Women's Union of Thuan Chau district handed over the "Model Women's Road" to the Women's Union of Pan Na village, Tong Lanh commune.

Last March, the Women's Union of Thuan Chau district organized the handover of the "Model Women's Road" to the women's unions of the following villages: Kien Xuong, Phong Lai commune; Hung Nhan, Chieng Pha commune; Pan Na, Tong Lanh commune for management. The roads have a total length of 145 m, with 86 flower pots, 40 slogans promoting the criteria for building new rural areas, with a total cost of 100 million VND.

Ms. Luong Thi Thuc, President of the Women's Union of Tong Lanh Commune, shared: The commune is located along Highway 6, with many households doing business and trading, so in the future, the road will not only be planted with flowers to create a green space. The Association will mobilize business households to sign a commitment not to encroach on the roadway or sidewalk; regularly clean the road, place flower pots and ornamental plants, creating a green, clean and beautiful landscape.

The model of “Model Women’s Road” is one of the contents of the Campaign “Building a family of 5 no’s, 3 clean’s” associated with the movement of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. Along with that, the association at all levels also launched the model of “Women collecting, classifying and processing organic waste at households” in the communes of Chieng La, Chieng Pha, Tong Co, Phong Ly, Tong Lanh, Thom Mon; supported the construction of 21 hygienic toilets; maintained 230 “Self-managed Women’s Roads”; planted and cared for 30 km of flower roads, contributing to raising the awareness of members, women and people in environmental protection. Through the review, the whole district has 15,820 households meeting 8 criteria of “5 no’s, 3 clean”.

Implementing the movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, 100% of the grassroots associations have developed implementation plans, specifying each content in accordance with the actual situation of the locality and unit. Typically, implementing the Campaign to build "Warm houses of love" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, from 2020 to present, the whole district has started construction and built 22 new "Warm houses of love" in the communes of Muong Khieng, Liep Te, E Tong, Tong Co, Nong Lay, Nam Lau... with a total value of nearly 720 million VND from contributions from women's union members and Agribank District Branch, District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office and benefactors.

The movement to support women in economic development has been effectively implemented in many forms, such as: Receiving trust and credit with banks and credit institutions to help 4,600 members and women borrow capital to develop the economy, with a total outstanding debt of more than 200 billion VND; maintaining the model of "Raising plastic pigs for savings", saving groups and teams... attracting more than 31,000 cadres, members and women to participate in saving more than 5 billion VND, helping 540 members borrow to develop the family economy. In addition, the District Women's Union also supported the establishment of the model "Group linking women to raise reproductive cows" in Nong Coc village, Long He commune; supported 3 livelihood models in E Tong, Bo Muoi, Liep Te communes; disbursed aquaculture loans, creating jobs for 9 members and women in Phong Ly commune...

Ms. Luong Thi Thanh Thuy, President of the Women's Union of Thuan Chau district, informed: In order for the patriotic emulation movement to truly come into life, attracting a large number of members and women to participate, the unions at all levels have established zalo groups and facebook pages, both to keep up with the process of applying information technology and digital transformation, and to innovate propaganda and mobilization in union activities and women's movements at all levels, contributing to spreading a beautiful image on cyberspace. Up to now, 80% of the union bases have effective facebook pages, 100% of the bases have computers to perform their tasks, the Women's Unions at all levels have posted more than 340 news articles via electronic news sites, attracting over 25,000 members.

With the above achievements, the Women's Union of Thuan Chau district was honored to receive the emulation flag and many certificates of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Provincial Women's Union, creating motivation for all levels of women's unions in the district to continue to encourage and motivate members to strive to study and work in production, constantly affirming the position of women in the family and society.
