On the morning of November 18th, in An Lap commune (Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong province), Deo Ca Group, in coordination with the Ministry of Transport and the People's Committees of Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, and Long An provinces, held a ceremony to launch the construction of the Ho Chi Minh Highway section from Chon Thanh to Duc Hoa.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Transport, and Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Secretary of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, attended the ceremony to launch the construction of the Ho Chi Minh Highway project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section.
Accordingly, the project has a total length of approximately 72.75 km, starting in Tru Van Tho commune (Bau Bang district, Binh Duong province) and ending at the intersection with N2 road (now Ho Chi Minh road in Duc Hoa district, Long An province).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam, Deputy Minister of Transport, said that the Ho Chi Minh Highway section from Chon Thanh to Duc Hoa is a section included in the planning of the Western North-South Expressway of the country (Ho Chi Minh Highway, high-standard expressway).
The project plays a crucial role in driving socio-economic development, attracting investment, and expanding the urban, industrial, commercial, tourism, and service development space in the Southeast region.
Upon completion, the Chơn Thành - Đức Hòa route will connect traffic and shorten travel time from the Central Highlands provinces through the Southeast region to the Southwestern provinces; gradually completing the inter-regional road transport system and reducing traffic congestion on existing roads.
Construction vehicles are being brought in to resume work on the project.
According to Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the section of the Ho Chi Minh Highway passing through Binh Duong province is approximately 31.6 km long, and the land has been cleared with a roadbed width of 40m and some construction items have been built along the route.
According to Mr. Ha, after completion, the road will help complete the road system in the northwest of Binh Duong, opening up new connectivity, especially connecting industrial parks in the province with raw material areas in the Central Highlands and the Southwest.
At the same time, the route also accelerates the formation and development of industrial parks in Binh Duong province such as the expanded Bau Bang Industrial Park, Cay Truong Industrial Park, etc., and will soon become a high-tech zone and innovation area in accordance with Binh Duong's socio-economic development plan until 2040.
