From agro -tourism along Tan Ha Lake...

In January, when the strawberry blossoms are in full bloom, their fragrant scent permeates the air, captivating those sipping coffee near the strawberry garden. Beside the strawberry garden lies Tan Ha Lake, located in the center of the commune, on Provincial Road DT766, 20 km south of Ong Don intersection ( Dong Nai province) and 8 km north of Hoai Duc commune.

The Tan Ha spillway is an irrigation project that began construction in May 1977 and was completed in 1978. Tan Ha Lake regulates groundwater levels for the entire region and ensures a supply of drinking water for the upstream and downstream communes. In addition, the lake's environment and water resources are suitable for aquaculture.

Currently, there is a cooperative raising and harvesting freshwater fish in the lake area. Every year, the people of Tan Ha raise and harvest over 200 tons of freshwater fish, utilizing 100% natural food sources.

During this season, the water level in Tan Ha Lake is not as high as during the rainy season, but the clear, shimmering water reflects a silvery light at sunrise or sunset, creating a magical beauty. Tan Ha Lake has a natural area of 240 hectares, a water surface area of 180 hectares, and a reservoir capacity of 3.4 million cubic meters of water.

During the rainy season, the deepest point is about 8-10 meters. Downstream, there is an 88-meter-long spillway, and from May to December, the water overflows the spillway by an average of 0.3 meters, creating a unique beauty. To the west of the spillway, a high hill reflects its image onto the water's surface, creating a picturesque landscape. In addition, at the foot of the hill are orchards of fruit trees such as rambutan, durian, and mulberry, cultivated by local households.

Mr. Tran Du's mulberry garden is attracting tourists to Tra Tan.
Tran Du's mulberry garden in Tra Tan is a favorite not only among adults but also among children.

Mr. Tran Du has a mulberry orchard of about 5 sao (approximately 0.5 hectares). For the past two years, his orchard has welcomed thousands of domestic and international tourists. He said that initially he didn't plan to develop tourism, but then the orchard yielded abundant and beautiful fruit, and people shared pictures of it, leading to an increasing number of tourists. Not far from the mulberry orchard is the rambutan orchard of Mr. Doan Ngoc Sang. During the fruiting season, many tourists come to visit and enjoy his orchard.

Leveraging the advantages of the La Ngà riverside location.

Mr. Luu Phi from Ho Chi Minh City has acquaintances in Duc Linh commune. Whenever he visits them, he often stops at restaurants along Tan Ha Lake to enjoy a drink while admiring the lake's scenery. He said: "Every evening, flocks of birds, egrets, and herons fly to Tan Ha Lake to drink water and find places to roost overnight. During the day, the birds forage in the fields, and in the evening they perch everywhere, creating a very picturesque scene. I love that peaceful scenery, so whenever I have the chance, I come to Tra Tan to relax..."

As for Phan Nhan, who works in the Nam Ha Industrial Cluster, he has an acquaintance who fishes on the La Nga River, so on Saturdays and Sundays, he and his friend go fishing and enjoy the river and lake views. When they catch fish, they organize a casual get-together in the riverside garden. Nhan confided: "Working all week is very tiring, so on Saturdays, strolling along the river, enjoying the scenery, and savoring the local specialties like catfish, snakehead fish, and goby fish from the La Nga River is the best way to relieve stress."

Tra Tan currently has about 12 km of the La Nga River flowing through its territory. Along the riverbanks, several households cultivate various fruit trees, making it very suitable for developing an agro-tourism model. As for Tan Ha Lake, to facilitate tourism development, the province needs to support the commune in improving the lakebed, building embankments, diverting water from the La Nga River into the lake to fill it during the dry season, and organizing activities such as lake tours by boat or water sports...

The breakthrough for the term was identified as "mobilizing resources to complete the infrastructure for the development of the industrial zone in the southern part of the province, and attracting investment to develop rural tourism destinations in the western part of the commune."
