Colonel Phung Chi Cao, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Hanoi Capital Command, welcomed and presented flowers to congratulate the Russian armed forces on their visit to Vietnam, according to QPVN.
The delegation members were quickly supported by the competent agencies of the Ministry of National Defense and relevant agencies and units to complete the entry procedures. After the welcoming ceremony, the delegation moved to the planned accommodation location, ready to participate in upcoming activities.
The Russian Armed Forces are one of the foreign military units participating in the September 2 parade in Hanoi.
Earlier on the morning of August 16, 110 officers and soldiers of the Lao People's Army also traveled more than 350 km from the capital Vientiane to the Cau Treo international border gate, then continued to Hanoi to prepare for the event. On August 15, the Cambodian army was also present in the capital.
In April in Ho Chi Minh City, soldiers from the Lao People's Army and the Royal Cambodian Army also came to Vietnam to attend the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification, at the invitation of the Ministry of National Defense.
At 8:00 p.m. on August 21, the first rehearsal for the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will take place on the central streets of Hanoi.
The second general practice session will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 24. The State-level preliminary rehearsal will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 27. The State-level general rehearsal will take place at 6:30 a.m. on August 30. At exactly 6:30 a.m. on September 2, at Ba Dinh Square, the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will take place.
