According to initial investigations, starting in early 2022, Mai Ha Trang instructed the sales department to advertise a model for agricultural production and health care products made from Centella asiatica (Gotu Kola). This group presented business prospects, investment plans, and promised a 5-8% monthly return to attract people to invest.
The police determined that much of the information disseminated showed signs of being untrue and exaggerating the project. Despite the company showing signs of operating at a loss, the group continued to raise money from investors.
Initially, hundreds of victims transferred over 1 trillion VND into the CCV Group company account and Mai Ha Trang's personal account. From March 2023, the company stopped paying profits as promised, did not return capital contributions, and simultaneously deleted the company's information and website.
Hanoi City Police are summoning several individuals from various locations for further investigation and expansion of the case. Many of the company's addresses have been identified as no longer operational.
