Distinctive echo
The gala night on May 14th was likened to a beautiful grand finale, concluding a series of vibrant cultural and artistic activities celebrating the 71st anniversary of the liberation of Hai Phong and the Red Phoenix Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2026.
Amidst the vibrant red blossoms of the flamboyant tree, the program took over 5,000 spectators through a range of emotions, from pride in a resilient and generous Hai Phong to profound moments of reflection portraying the image of police officers who are tirelessly safeguarding the city's peace and security.

The production team chose an emotionally rich storytelling approach, connecting music , visuals, and everyday stories into a cohesive narrative. Performances reflecting the youthful and modern spirit of the port city were interwoven with in-depth presentations about the journey of fighting and contributing to the Hai Phong Public Security force.
Returning to perform in his hometown on the occasion of the Hai Phong City Police receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, singer Pham Tuan, a member of Thang Long Band, said he felt many special emotions when performing the song "My Beloved Policeman" by composer Van Cao.
“Singing in Hai Phong during the vibrant red blossoms of the flamboyant tree in May is very meaningful to me. When performing a song about police officers, I feel even more strongly the silent sacrifices and immense responsibility they have for the peace and security of the people. It's not only a source of pride for an artist but also the emotion of a son of Hai Phong returning to his hometown to perform,” singer Pham Tuan shared.

Representatives of the production team stated that the biggest challenge was balancing political commentary with artistic flair to make the program both profound and engaging for the audience. Therefore, the image of the police officer in the program is presented through relatable stories rich in humanistic values.
Special documentaries such as "Hai Phong at the Forefront of the Waves," "Police Catching Spies," and "The Legend of H88" provided viewers with authentic glimpses into the tenacious fighting history of the Hai Phong army and people throughout various periods. Interactive activities involving historical exploration, games, and dramatized cybersecurity scenarios contributed to a warm, engaging, and highly educational atmosphere.
An artistic imprint rich in emotion.
Another memorable highlight of the gala night was the appearance of many officers and soldiers from the Hai Phong City Police on the large art stage. Although not professional artists, their simplicity, sincerity, and sense of responsibility became a deeply emotional highlight for the audience.

Captain Cao Thanh Hoa (Traffic Police Department, Hai Phong City Police), an officer participating in the gala performance, said that she and her colleagues had spent many days practicing after work to prepare for the program.
"We were a little nervous standing on a big stage for the first time, but we were also very proud to contribute a small part to a program that holds special significance for the city's police force. The encouragement from the people made us even more emotional," Ms. Hoa shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha from Thuy Nguyen ward said that what impressed her was not the scale of the stage or the staging effects, but the genuine emotions throughout the program.
"There were moments that truly moved me because the image of Hai Phong appeared so familiar, and the silent sacrifices of the police force were told through music and documentaries with very natural emotions," she said.

Not only is it a beautiful culmination of the May festival season in the city of Hai Phong, but "Peaceful Homeland - Shining Hai Phong" also holds special significance as it coincides with the Hai Phong City Police receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
This prestigious title is a recognition of the fighting spirit, dedication, and growth of the Hai Phong Public Security force in the cause of protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety, and ensuring the peaceful lives of the people.
The gala night has ended, but its echoes linger in the hearts of the audience like a beautiful melody of the port city during those fiery May days – where resilience, camaraderie, and aspirations for progress always blend with the rhythm of modern life.
