Red addresses - Places where the flame of revolution was ignited.
On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and to welcome the Year of the Horse 2026, the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee organized a meaningful pilgrimage to the Tan Hung Temple National Historical Site in Ly Van Lam Ward. This was also a profound political activity, arousing pride and responsibility in today's young generation.
Tan Hung Temple is not only a place of worship for the tutelary deity of the province, but also a "witness" to the glorious milestones of the provincial Party Committee. This is where the first Party flag appeared in Ca Mau on May 1, 1930, marking the beginning of the revolutionary movement under the Party's leadership in the locality. For the students, this trip was a way to strengthen their ideals. Especially for young Party members, the feeling of pride was multiplied many times over.
Members of the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee listened to a presentation about local history and revolutionary movements at Tan Hung Temple.
Probationary Party member Lam Anh Thu (a student at Ca Mau Community College) shared: "The more I understand the history of my locality, the more proud and moved I feel. The stories of our glorious traditions have motivated me to constantly strive in my studies and training. Becoming a Party member is a great honor, and I am even more determined to improve myself and uphold the spirit of patriotism to be worthy of the trust of my teachers and the Party branch."
Nguyen Nhat Huy, a student at the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College in Ca Mau, expressed: “ Before, I rarely had the opportunity to visit historical sites, but thanks to trips like this, I've broadened my horizons a lot. History, if only learned through books, cannot be as authentic as when you go there, see it firsthand, and listen. This motivates me to strive to join the Party and contribute my youthful energy to follow in the footsteps of our ancestors in building our homeland.”
Nowadays, young people in the youth union need knowledge, courage, and practical work efficiency.
Ms. Quách Thị Thu Thảo, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee, said that this trip to the historical site is the beginning of a series of peak activities "Celebrating the Party, celebrating the Spring." Through this, the Youth Union hopes that each member will not only be a guardian of heritage but also an active and pioneering force in volunteer movements, making practical contributions to the community.
The trip has ended, but the echoes of national pride and the striving spirit of the youth still resonate, like a promise of determination from the young people of Ca Mau: To live, study, and contribute in a way that is worthy of the traditions of their heroic homeland, Ca Mau.
