Ca Mau launches third phase of health screening for residents.

On the morning of May 30th, the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health held a ceremony to launch the third phase of health check-ups and screenings for the people. The activity aims to change community awareness, shifting from a "cure-first" mindset to a proactive "prevention" one.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health , attended and spoke at the launch ceremony for health check-ups and screenings for residents in Bac Lieu ward.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Chi Thanh said: This campaign continues to strengthen communication efforts and raise awareness among the people to proactively undergo regular health check-ups, contributing to improving the quality of life.

"We need to shift from a mindset of waiting until we get sick before seeking treatment to one of proactive disease prevention and early screening," Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh emphasized.

Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Chi Thanh and Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu Ward Le Viet Xo monitored the health check-up for residents at the ward's health station immediately after the launching ceremony.

Immediately after the launch ceremony, the medical team conducted free health check-ups and screenings for 100 residents in Bac Lieu ward.

Medical staff perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) on residents.

People with disabilities are among the priority groups for health check-ups.

According to the plan, the health check-up program will be widely implemented for all people in the province, with priority given to the following groups: the elderly, people with disabilities, women, children, workers, people with high-risk factors, poor and near-poor households, policy beneficiaries, and other vulnerable groups.
