Dramatic view of the world's smallest and shortest beach

Located in a small bay near the town of Llanes, in the Asturias region of northern Spain, Gulpiyur was formed from a flooded sinkhole.

According to scientists , this place is actually considered an inland beach with salt water, golden sand and gentle waves.

Gulpiyuri is actually separated from the larger beach by a thick cliff. During high tide, the entire area is submerged in water.

Gulpiyuri was recognized as a "natural monument" by Spain in 2001 and belongs to the country's network of protected natural areas.

To get here, visitors must walk from the village of Naves or from San Antolín beach, a few hundred meters from Gulpiyuri.

The entrance is steep and narrow and requires climbing over many large rocks, so visitors are advised to wear sturdy shoes and choose appropriate clothing.

Due to its small size and river level depth, Gulpiyuri is considered unsuitable for diving, but it is good for light swimming, relaxing or taking pictures.
