On the morning of April 25th, the overseas Vietnamese delegation performed the ritual of offering incense to commemorate the Hung Kings at the Lower Temple, Middle Temple, and Upper Temple. Unlike previous years, this year, after the incense offering ceremony, the delegation held a ceremony to report their achievements, express gratitude for the merits of their ancestors, and offer incense and plant commemorative trees in the area of the Well Temple.

The Hung Kings Commemoration Day is an annual program organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the People's Committee of Phu Tho province. After interruptions in 2020 and 2021, and a reduction in scale in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's program for overseas Vietnamese delegations attending the Hung Kings Commemoration Day is organized on the same scale as before, with many new features.
The program on national heritage aims to contribute to raising awareness among overseas Vietnamese about self-respect and pride in the glorious traditions of the nation, expressing gratitude for the merits of their ancestors, demonstrating the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," and strengthening national unity.
Organizing a delegation of overseas Vietnamese to attend the Hung Kings Commemoration Day in 2023 also demonstrates the concern, affection, and responsibility of the Party and State for overseas Vietnamese, better meeting their cultural and spiritual needs, encouraging generations of overseas Vietnamese to continue the fine traditions of their ancestors, in line with the consistent principle emphasized in Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW of the Politburo : "Overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese national community."
