
Specifically, at around 11pm on November 18, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police (PC07) received a report of an emergency case. It was a child (residing in the area of 23/10 Street, Nha Trang Ward) who was choking on a foreign object and needed emergency care but was being isolated due to rising floodwaters.
The water level in this area exceeded 0.8m, making it dangerous to travel. PC07 quickly used a lifeboat to approach the area and bring the child across the flood. After that, the child was handed over to the medical team for emergency treatment. Currently, the child is out of danger.
Also on the night of November 18, in the mountainous area, Khanh Vinh Commune Police successfully rescued 3 people from Suoi Cat village. This group of people went to the fields and got trapped due to the rapid and strong floodwaters of Khe River. The local authorities mobilized local forces to approach and bring these 3 people home safely.
Khanh Hoa province authorities have issued an urgent notice about flash floods and landslides. Especially in areas along rivers and streams and low-lying areas. In particular, Khanh Vinh commune - where the Khe river is rising rapidly and flowing rapidly, the local authorities have issued strict warnings, requiring people to absolutely not go to dangerous places on their own, and to strictly follow the evacuation instructions of the authorities to ensure the safety of life and property.
Currently, PC07, Police and Military Command of Khanh Hoa province are on duty at hotspots to be ready to respond and support people to evacuate to safe shelters.
