Depending on the interest rate schedule of each bank, depositors can calculate the interest received according to the formula:
Interest = Deposit x interest rate (%)/12 months x number of months of deposit.
For example, at a 6-month savings term, you choose to deposit money at Bank A with an interest rate of 4.3%, the interest you receive is:
Interest = 1 billion VND x 4.3%/12 x 6 months = 21.5 million VND.
With the same amount of money, you deposit it at Bank B, with an interest rate of 5.5%. After 6 months, the interest you receive is:
Interest = 1 billion VND 5.5%/12 x 6 months = 27.5 million VND.
