Lam Dong is one of 5 localities that organizes admission to grade 10 by examination.

Most provinces and cities have chosen foreign language (or English only) as the third subject in the 10th grade public high school exam for the 2025-2026 school year; only Ha Giang province has chosen History and Geography.

Binh Thuan province also chooses to take Math, Literature, History - Geography exams, but only for candidates taking the exam to enter the province's Ethnic Boarding High School.

In addition, a few localities choose to combine entrance exams and selection.

Ha Tinh and Tuyen Quang provinces organized the 10th grade exam in one day.

Lam Dong, Phu Yen, Gia Lai, Ca Mau, Vinh Long are 5 localities organizing admission to non-specialized public grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year by selection.

The admission form is converted from the score according to the transcript, final score and conduct in 4 years of secondary school. The admission score is high or low depending on the training quality of each school, as well as in different rural and urban areas.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the provinces that will organize the 10th grade exam in 2025 in May include Bac Lieu, Lai Chau, Binh Duong and Dong Nai.

The remaining provinces will mostly organize the exam from June 1 to 8, 2025.
