On the morning of June 13, at the National News Center ( Hanoi ), the Workshop "Technology Source - Nurturing Happiness to Inspire Creativity" took place for the "Technology from the Heart" Contest.
Attendees at the event included photographers, journalists, photojournalists, digital content creators, freelancers working in the field of journalism and media, and more than 200 students from the Academy of Journalism and Communication.
In his opening speech, Mr. Le Xuan Thanh - Director of the Center for Digital Content and Communication, Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest emphasized that the Workshop was organized with a special meaning: to introduce in more depth the 2nd "Technology from the Heart" contest, while inspiring and evoking creative perspectives and breakthrough ideas to tell touching stories about the intersection between technology and people, between innovation and happiness.

"We believe that with the keen eye of a journalist, a photojournalist, or the innovative thinking of a content creator, you can 'touch to tell stories' about the sources of happiness that technology brings. We look forward to receiving positive interactions from you through questions, comments and valuable sharing. Let's turn this into an open space where all ideas are listened to and respected," said Mr. Thanh.
At the Workshop, Mr. Dang Kim Long - Director of Public Policy of TikTok Vietnam revealed the reason why TikTok joined the Award. According to Mr. Long, the mission when TikTok was born was to inspire creativity and bring joy to life. "Tiktok is also a technology company, so we understand that the most valuable and meaningful technology is to serve people and life."
According to Mr. Long, Tiktok has built a hashtag page on the Tiktok platform to spread the influence of the contest. The representative of TikTok Vietnam also called on and encouraged sellers on the TikTok Shop platform, those who apply many unique technologies to participate and the community of content creators to join in spreading the contest.

Mr. Dang Kim Long also revealed that according to the latest data, the hashtag page about the contest has had up to 2 million views. "We hope this number will double or triple in the near future," Mr. Long said.
At the workshop, guests such as photographer Ly Hoang Long, journalist Dinh Trong Hai - People's Army Newspaper, journalist Quang Vu from Vietnam News Agency shared about how to find and exploit "touching" stories about technology, how to express the "heart" element in media products and at the same time suggested approaches to the contest theme. Highlighting the significance of the workshop in realizing ideas and applying technology in life.

Master Vu Quynh Trang, owner of the Tiktok channel "Miss Pavement" at the Workshop also shared how to make her work stand out on social media platforms and shared her experience in creating personal channels and spreading on social networks.
Through the Workshop, the Organizing Committee of the Award hopes that each participant will not only accumulate more knowledge, but also bring back new inspirations, breakthrough perspectives and especially creative ideas to tell unique stories about "The Source of Technology - Nurturing Happiness."
"We hope to see a large number of photojournalists, professional content creators and future journalists - today's journalism and media students - participating in submitting entries to the contest. Let's spread stories of the heart, of happy moments nurtured by technology," said Mr. Le Xuan Thanh - Director of the Center for Digital Content and Communication, Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest./.
The second photo and video award with the theme “Technology from the heart” has 3 sets of awards for the categories of single photos, photo reports and videos . Each set of awards includes: 1 First prize worth 50 million VND, 2 Second prizes worth 40 million VND each, 3 Third prizes worth 30 million VND each, 5 Encouragement prizes worth 10 million VND each.
The Jury will select a number of works to display at the Award Ceremony, the authors will receive a photo royalty of 3 million VND/work.
The deadline and address for submission of entries are extended to July 15, 2025. The closing ceremony and award ceremony are scheduled for August 2025.
