The Tax Department has just issued Document No. 2847/2025, requesting tax authorities at all levels nationwide to focus resources on promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles faced by taxpayers during the implementation of the two-tiered local government system, and to improve the spirit and attitude of tax authorities and tax officials in serving taxpayers.
According to the Tax Department, based on information reflecting taxpayers' difficulties in the implementation of the two-tiered local government system and information from measuring taxpayer satisfaction with the services of tax authorities on the "Administrative Procedure Resolution Information System" (address: https://dichvucong.gdt.gov.vn), taxpayers have given relatively positive feedback on the service of tax officials and the results of work resolution by tax authorities. However, there are still cases where taxpayers rated themselves "Very dissatisfied" and provided negative feedback on the results of tax administrative procedures and work resolution by tax authorities and tax officials, such as: the competence and expertise of officials handling the work; difficulties in contacting tax authorities by phone; difficulties in searching for tax policies and administrative procedures and using electronic tax applications...
The Tax Department acknowledges that although this is an isolated incident at some local tax offices, failure to promptly rectify the situation will create negative impacts on society, especially in the context of the entire tax sector's effective coordination with local authorities in implementing a two-tiered government system. The Tax Department requests that provincial and city tax offices and departments under the Tax Department focus on directing their subordinate tax offices to enhance their responsibility in performing their duties, resolving administrative procedures for citizens and businesses in accordance with the law and within the prescribed timeframe; and to improve the spirit, attitude, and conduct of tax officials when handling work, processing administrative procedures, and interacting with taxpayers.
