
Before departing, in Cam Ranh, the delegates respectfully attended the incense offering ceremony at the Gac Ma Martyrs' Monument and Linh Nguyen Pagoda, expressing their profound gratitude to the heroic martyrs.

Delegation No. 8 comprised over 200 delegates from provinces, cities, central agencies, and businesses nationwide. During their trip, the delegation visited and encouraged the military and civilians on the islands of Song Tu Tay, Son Ca, Nam Yet, Da Lon (B), Sinh Ton, Truong Sa Dong, Truong Sa, and the DK1/16 (Phuc Tan) offshore platform. At each location, the delegates received reports on the implementation of tasks and living conditions; they directly witnessed the persistent efforts, unwavering spirit, and readiness to fight of the officers and soldiers stationed in these challenging environments.


On this occasion, the 8th working group presented numerous gifts totaling over 7.6 billion VND, including practical equipment and necessities such as televisions, water filters, solar-powered lights, food, and agricultural production models. Son La province also presented meaningful gifts: 500 million VND to support the construction of two vegetable gardens on the island, three sets of solar-powered lights for each destination, one television for ship 571, and 50 million VND to Brigade 955. These gifts demonstrate the affection and responsibility of the Party Committee, government, and people of Son La province towards the military and people in the remote island areas.


The delegation also participated in the flag-raising ceremony on Truong Sa Island with solemn and sacred rituals. The delegates offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh , lit incense at the temples on the island, expressing their reverence and faith in the Fatherland.


Cultural and artistic exchange activities, sports events, and competitions about the sea and islands took place enthusiastically, creating a joyful and united atmosphere. In particular, the cultural exchange night on Truong Sa Island left many profound emotions as songs and melodies from the mainland blended with the rhythm of life on the remote island, further strengthening the bond between the military and the people.


The mission was completed comprehensively according to the planned content and program, ensuring absolute safety, leaving many profound impressions, and spreading the feelings and responsibilities of the mainland towards the sacred seas and islands of the Fatherland.

The success of the mission further affirms the profound significance of the spirit of "Truong Sa for the whole country, the whole country for Truong Sa," contributing to consolidating the people's support, strengthening overall power, and firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands.
