On December 18th, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized a flag-raising ceremony at the Hanoi Flagpole (Dat Mui commune, Ca Mau province) and a "Journey to the Source" event with the theme "Proud of Skilled Mass Mobilization Cadres - The City Named After Uncle Ho," combined with social welfare activities in Dat Mui commune.

The delegation was led by Comrade Ta Quoc Trung, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The delegation included more than 200 other delegates.

The flag-raising ceremony took place in a solemn and moving atmosphere. Under the national flag fluttering at the southernmost point of the country, delegates performed the flag-raising ritual and sang the national anthem, expressing their reverence, national pride, and sense of responsibility in the cause of building and protecting the nation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Ta Quoc Trung emphasized that the flag-raising ceremony at the Dat Mui Flagpole is an activity with profound educational significance, contributing to fostering patriotism and enhancing the sense of service to the people; at the same time, it affirms the important role of propaganda and mass mobilization work in consolidating the people's trust in the Party and the State.
Within the framework of the program, the delegation presented 200 national flags to fishermen venturing out to sea; 2 televisions to the Dat Mui Border Guard Station; 50 gifts to officers, soldiers, and fishermen; 80 scholarships to poor, academically excellent students; and 10 gifts to forest protection forces. These activities contributed to spreading the spirit of mutual support and strengthening the close relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau province.
