“Determined to win” is the theme of the newspaper of the 175th Brigade, Naval Region 5, which was brought to the contest. According to Lieutenant Tran Minh Huy - Head of Sector 4-7, Ship 263, Squadron 515, representing the group of authors of the 175th Brigade: The sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands is the inspiration for the cadres and youth union members of the 175th Brigade to build a model of the Wall Newspaper - a ship with the theme “Determined to win”.

In which, the newspaper head with the image of the stylized Quyet Thang flag fluttering in the wind is a symbol of the spirit of readiness to fight and defeat the enemy, the belief and aspiration for peace , the determination to excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam. The theme, the newspaper head placed on the sails also has the meaning of a means of transportation from tradition to modernity, from the past to the future, carrying the love for the Fatherland, the steadfast belief in the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. The ship overcomes countless storms, becoming the aspiration of the youth determined to take the initiative, create to create new victories.
The content of the newspaper focuses on highlighting the tradition, history, role of the Youth Union, Youth Union activities and youth movements. The articles focus on three topics, expressed on three sails: President Ho Chi Minh with Vietnamese youth; building truly strong Youth Union organizations at all levels; dreams and feelings of marine soldiers.
The base of the leopard is a solid structure, printed with stylized ocean waves in the blue color of the ocean, representing the special working environment of Brigade 175. The base of the leopard is also equipped with a LED light system; when lit, it will create a magical shimmering color - Like the light on the sea surface projected from the navigation lights of naval ships performing patrol, reconnaissance, and guard duty.

“Through the newspaper, we want to convey the message: Today's young generation takes tradition as a driving force, success as the destination, creatively pioneers to achieve glorious victories, contributing to firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. We will constantly study and practice to improve our revolutionary ethics, volunteer in our work, be creative in learning and acquiring knowledge, actively build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern Brigade, successfully complete all assigned tasks; compete to achieve achievements to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union,” said Lieutenant Tran Minh Huy.

For many years, making wall newspapers has become an important cultural activity and a spiritual “food” for the officers and soldiers of the Region. On the occasions of celebrating major holidays such as: the founding day of the Union on March 26; National Day on September 2; the founding day of the Vietnam People’s Army on December 22, Lunar New Year, etc., the atmosphere of making wall newspapers is bustling throughout the agencies and units in the Region.
This year's wall newspaper contest of Naval Region 5 has the participation of 8 teams from agencies and units in the Region. The contest is organized in a direct and online format from the Naval Region 5 Command (Phu Quoc) to the units under the Region stationed in Ca Mau province.

According to the evaluation of the jury, the participating agencies and units have closely followed the plan and regulations, thoroughly organized and implemented them seriously and strictly. For the wall newspaper design competition, the teams have promoted their internal strength, actively researched, explored, and created many unique, intuitive, vivid, and highly artistic products. The presented content is rich, balanced, harmonious, close to the unit's mission, and has good educational value.

In the wall newspaper commenting contest, the teams stated the birth circumstances, theme, purpose and meaning of the newspaper; conveyed many meaningful messages, praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho, love for the homeland and country, national pride, the tradition of the Army, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the dedication and contributions of the unit's officers and soldiers in performing the task of managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
With excellent performance, the special issue titled "Determined to Win" of Youth Brigade 175 won the first prize of the contest. The Organizing Committee also awarded 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes to the teams with high results.

According to Colonel Le Van Huong, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 5, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, the Contest has actively contributed to propaganda, education, raising awareness and responsibility for cadres and youth union members; at the same time, arousing the pride and desire to contribute of the youth, encouraging and motivating cadres and soldiers in the whole Region to promote the spirit of initiative, creativity, and successfully complete assigned tasks, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization, a comprehensively strong, exemplary and typical agency and unit, a strong Youth Union organization, and excellently completing assigned tasks.
