On the evening of October 10, at the central square of Co To special economic zone ( Quang Ninh province), the art program "Autumn Moon at the Border" in 2025 took place in a warm and bustling atmosphere, leaving many emotions for children and people on the remote island.

Attending the program were Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard; Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sea and Islands Administration; Colonel Pham Van Tu, Director of the Military Radio and Television Center; Major General Nguyen Kim Ton, Former Director of the Military Radio and Television Center; Major General Tran Van Hau, Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command, along with representatives of the General Departments, the Commands of Military Region 3, Military Region 7, the Border Guard, Military Hospital 354, Military Hospital 7A, agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense , and accompanying philanthropists and businesses.
Speaking at the program, Colonel Pham Van Tu, Director of the Military Training and Education Center, emphasized: "Autumn Moon in the Border is not only a charity program, giving gifts, but also a journey to spread love, contributing to fostering trust, encouraging the spirit of overcoming difficulties and studying well of children in border and island areas."
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee and accompanying units presented 500 Mid-Autumn gifts including backpacks, school supplies, candies and lanterns, worth nearly 400 million VND, to students in difficult circumstances in the special zone. The Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association awarded 5 "Step Up to the Future" scholarships, each worth 10 million VND/year for 4 years, donated 20 more bicycles to students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies, and sponsored the construction of an artificial football field in Dong Tien commune, bringing the total support value of the unit to more than 500 million VND.

The Lao Dong Newspaper presented 500 national flags and 15 scholarships, worth 15 million VND in total. Muong Thanh Group presented a large canvas umbrella to cover the school yard worth 50 million VND and high-quality moon cakes to the children. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command presented gifts and 5 million VND to the local government.
In addition, businesses and philanthropists such as Him Lam Company, Vietjet Air, Vinahe, Hong Ha Stationery, Phuong Mi Thanh Nguyen, Midomax Vietnam, Teksea, Vietnam Sea Magazine, GB Life Global... also contributed thousands of gifts including candies, school supplies, lanterns, sportswear, supplements and backpacks, with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND.
In particular, at the program, Nguyen Phan Bich Ngoc, a student at Co To Primary School, a disabled student who lost a leg and is in a particularly difficult situation, and Nguyen Quynh Giang, a student with difficult circumstances in the special zone, could not be present to directly receive their gifts and scholarships. However, the program's love and care were still sent to the students through meaningful gifts, namely the "Step to the Future" Scholarship worth 40 million VND/student and a bicycle to help them have a more convenient way to go to school.
In addition, Nguyen Phan Bich Ngoc also received long-term medical support worth 200 million VND from Helping Vietnam Children, including costs for prosthetic legs, rehabilitation and health care until the age of 18. This case was chosen as a typical humanitarian symbol of the program, demonstrating the spirit of "For children in border and island areas - leaving no one behind".


The Organizing Committee, businesses and philanthropists presented meaningful gifts to the students.
Dinh Thi Dieu Duyen, a 12A2 student at Co To High School, is an orphan who has a serious illness but still strives to excel in her studies. Kinh Bac International School awarded her the "Kbis Home" scholarship worth 12 million VND, and also pledged to continue accompanying and supporting her in her studies. This is an outstanding student who has overcome difficulties and was chosen to be honored and awarded a special scholarship at the gala night.
Along with that, the program also brought to the children and islanders a special art night, with performances by officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard, Quang Ninh Border Guard and students from schools in the area.
Also on October 10, the Vietnam Coast Guard coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Co To Special Zone to organize the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands".
Before entering the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 30 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies at 3 schools: Co To High School, Co To Middle School and Dong Tien Middle School; 30 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids, fishermen with difficult circumstances; 3 65-inch TVs to 3 schools and 20 bicycles to students here.

Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai presented the first prize to Nguyen Thi Bao Chau, a student of class 8B, Co To Secondary School.
Before the contest, the Organizing Committee coordinated with Co To Secondary School and Dong Tien Secondary School to organize a painting contest with the theme "I love my homeland's sea and islands and the Vietnam Coast Guard".
On this occasion, the Vietnam Coast Guard coordinated with other units to inaugurate an artificial football field for students in the Co To special economic zone.
