Two more cities bring Russian tourists direct flights to Khanh Hoa

(NLDO)- From October 11, 3-row wide-body aircraft from the two cities of Kazan and Krasnoyarsk will take Russian tourists on direct flights to Khanh Hoa.

On October 11, Anex Vietnam Company coordinated with Vietjet Air to organize an event to welcome the first direct flight by wide-body aircraft from the two cities of Kazan and Krasnoyarsk - Russia to Cam Ranh International Airport, Khanh Hoa province.

This is the first time a Vietnamese airline has cooperated with Anex Vietnam to operate direct flights from Russia to Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province - the largest coastal tourism center in the Central region.

The opening of the new flight route is expected to contribute to the strong recovery of the Russian tourist market, which used to account for a large proportion of the total number of international visitors to Khanh Hoa .

Welcoming the first direct flight by wide-body aircraft from the two cities of Kazan and Krasnoyarsk - Russian Federation

Each flight is operated by a wide-body aircraft with a capacity of 377 passengers, with a frequency of 2 flights/week from each city. Particularly, the Krasnoyarsk route will increase to 3 flights/week from December 30 to meet the increasing travel demand of Russian tourists in the winter.

According to the plan, the two routes will start operating from October 11, serving Russian tourists during the peak tourist season at the end of the year. The average stay of Russian tourists in Khanh Hoa is expected to be 7 nights or more.

Russian tourists entering at Cam Ranh International Airport

The first flight carrying 377 Russian tourists from each city to Nha Trang – Cam Ranh will participate in a package charter tour organized by Anex Vietnam, including round-trip airfare, accommodation, sightseeing and local support services.

Anex Vietnam representative said that operating flights by wide-body aircraft not only improves service quality and tourist experience but also contributes to promoting cooperation between Vietnamese tourism businesses and international aviation partners. "Cam Ranh continues to affirm its role as a gateway to welcome international visitors to Central Vietnam" - the representative emphasized.

In just the first 8 months of 2025, Khanh Hoa welcomed 279,000 Russian visitors, an increase of 294.9%. It is expected that from now until the end of the year, the number of Russian visitors will reach and even exceed the 463,000 arrivals in 2019.
