Dak Lak: 150 delegates attend training on foreign affairs, borders, and islands

On October 7, Dak Lak province coordinated with the National Border Committee (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to organize a training conference on foreign affairs and propaganda on border and island management for leaders of departments, branches, communes and wards in the province.

With 150 delegates attending, this is also an opportunity to practice skills and share practical experiences, so that each delegate can become a "fulcrum" for the political system at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai emphasized that Dak Lak province not only shares a long border with Mondulkiri province of the Kingdom of Cambodia, but also possesses a wide coastline on the South Central Coast. This is a favorable condition to promote the development of the marine economy , expand foreign relations and strengthen national defense and security.

“Currently, Dak Lak province is facing a period where cadres not only have to “grasp the policy” but also “control the situation”. Through the training conference, it is not only to listen to reports, but also an opportunity to practice skills and share practical experiences, so that each of us can become a “fulcrum” for the political system at the grassroots level,” said Mr. Truong Cong Thai.

Taking place over one day, delegates will hear reports from representatives of the National Border Committee (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Center for Training and Fostering Diplomatic and Foreign Language Knowledge (Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City) on topics including: Theory and practice of foreign reception work; Situation in the East Sea; policies of the Party and State on the East Sea issue; History of the formation of land borders with neighboring countries; current issues of border protection and management.

Through this training conference, we aim to raise awareness, equip knowledge, skills and practical experience in foreign affairs reception work for the staff, civil servants and public employees in the province after the reorganization of the two-level government. At the same time, we also help the team doing foreign affairs to promptly grasp the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State; proactively develop plans, advise and deploy tasks in accordance with regulations and effectively.
