Ho Chi Minh City delegation visited and presented gifts at Tho Chau special economic zone

On September 11, continuing the program of visiting officers, soldiers and people on the Southwest islands and DK1/10 platform, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation arrived at Tho Chau special zone, An Giang province.

Comrade Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, presents gifts to the military and people of the Tho Chau Special Zone.

On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, said that the delegation was deeply moved to visit the officers and soldiers of Radar Station 610 (551st Regiment, 5th Naval Region Command) and other functional forces in the Tho Chau Special Zone – a frontline special zone in the Southwest of the Fatherland.

Comrade Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy sent words of encouragement and gratitude to the officers, soldiers, and forces who are tirelessly defending the sovereignty of the sea and islands.

Members of the delegation interacted with the military and civilians of the Tho Chau Special Zone.

"I believe that the officers, soldiers, and people of the Tho Chau Special Zone will cooperate even better to safeguard the sovereignty and sovereign rights of the Fatherland. For our part, each member of the delegation, upon arriving here, has been further strengthened in their love, faith, and pride in our country. Upon returning to the city, we will take the most practical actions to continue being one of the leading localities in focusing on the borders, seas, and islands of the Fatherland, and to effectively carry out the work of supporting the military so that our comrades can continue to work with peace of mind," emphasized Comrade Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation presented many practical projects and gifts (equipment, necessities, televisions, water filters, seeds, etc.) to help improve the lives of officers, soldiers, and people on the island, with a total value of over 200 million VND. The funding was drawn from the "For the Homeland's Islands and Seas - For the Frontline of the Fatherland" Fund, along with the support and contributions of businesses, individuals, and delegates participating in the delegation.
