The program was attended by representatives of the Navy Region 2 Command, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, along with a large number of naval soldiers and people of Long Son commune.
This is an activity within the series of "Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Days", aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation and development of the city's literature and arts (1975 - 2025).

The play “Red Coral” was written by writer Bich Ngan, adapted into Cai Luong by Pham Van Dang, and co-directed by People’s Artist Tran Ngoc Giau and Meritorious Artist Duong Thanh. The story is about the marine soldiers at the forefront of the storm, resilient and quiet, like coral reefs silently clinging to the ocean, contributing to keeping the peace of the Fatherland.

On stage, the artists including People's Artist Tan Giao, People's Artist My Hang, Meritorious Artist Vo Thanh Phe, Artist Phung Ngoc Bay, Artist To Tan Loan, Artist Nguyen Van Khoi, Artist Kim Luan, Artist My Linh... completely transformed into each character. Each vọng cổ melody played in the barracks space seemed to blend with the sound of the sea breeze, bringing to life the real-life stories of the soldiers.

Many soldiers were moved to see their comrades and themselves recreated on stage. A young soldier shared: “It’s not just a play, it’s our lives, told through music and emotions.”
With Red Coral , the art of Cai Luong has gone beyond the boundaries of the stage to touch the hearts of the audience, especially the young soldiers who are guarding the sea and sky of the Fatherland day and night. The play is not only a tribute but also an epic sent from the mainland to the open sea, where the “human coral reefs” are still resilient, quietly preserving the sacred sovereignty of Vietnam.
