Mr. Nguyen Vu Linh Sang, Chairman of Ta Nang Commune People's Committee, said that the Ta Nang Commune Civil Defense Command ordered the evacuation of 70 households in Chan Rang Hao and Tou Nhe villages, Ta Nang Commune, to schools, religious facilities, and houses in safe areas starting from 8:30 p.m. on November 7.

According to the People's Committee of Ta Nang Commune, from 2:00 p.m. on the same day, Cay An Lake's water level approached the overflow level, with the risk of dam failure or water spilling into the downstream area. The People's Committee of Ta Nang Commune requested people not to graze livestock, swim, fish or live near the lake and stream downstream of Cay An Lake; and urgently evacuate people and property from areas that are frequently flooded.

At the same time, the People's Committee of Ta Nang commune also mobilized forces to urgently support people in evacuating and ensuring the supply of necessities and equipment for necessary rescue work.
It is known that the Cay An reservoir irrigation project in Ta Nang commune was put into use in 2007 with a capacity of about 1.7 million m3. This is an irrigation project that provides irrigation water for 250 hectares of agricultural land in Ta Nang commune.

For several weeks now, localized sliding has occurred in the downstream area of the left shoulder of the main dam, forming cracks, with groundwater seeping through the dam foot. In addition, water seepage and leakage have also occurred in some other locations of the main dam.
