Ea Kiet Commune: A communal bridge collapsed, H'Mong village temporarily isolated

After storm No. 13, leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Ea Kiet commune directly inspected the damage in heavily affected areas in the locality, including Buon H'Mong - an area isolated due to the bridge collapse.

At the residential bridge No. 2 area (Buon H'Mong), due to a large amount of water flowing from upstream along with bushes and garbage, it partially blocked the flow of the bridge span, causing the bridge to collapse and separating households.

According to statistics from the People's Committee of Ea Kiet commune, there were no casualties in the commune. However, in Buon H'Mong, due to prolonged heavy rain, a bridge collapsed (bridge No. 2), temporarily cutting off the movement of people in the village. The commune leaders promptly directed the functional forces to coordinate, deploy safety measures, and urgently make temporary repairs to serve the movement and daily life of the people.

Along with that, some traffic routes have damaged road surfaces, landslides on the roadside and are being reinforced to ensure traffic; 1 3-phase power line is damaged. In the commune, 6 houses have had their roofs blown off, 1 house has collapsed; damage of 200 million VND. In addition, some forest trees have fallen; 1 hectare of crops has been 100% damaged; more than 3 hectares of coffee, 520 durian trees... were flooded, broken, and fallen; 1,000 kg of fresh coffee beans were washed away; 11 fish ponds of households in village 8, village 9 were flooded...

The local government continues to inspect, count the damage, review areas at risk of landslides and flooding to take measures to handle and support people to overcome. In addition, the commune government continues to support people to repair their houses, distribute food, drinking water, medicine and essential items; encourage people to overcome difficulties and damage to stabilize their lives.
