On November 8, the leader of the People's Committee of Luong Son commune said that due to heavy rain in Lam Dong lasting from the afternoon of November 7, the floodwaters on the Luy River rose, causing flooding in many areas. Accordingly, the floodwaters caused 170 houses in Luong Bac, Luong Tay, Luong Binh, and Tan Son villages to be submerged 1-1.2 meters deep; more than 200 hectares of vegetables were submerged.

At the time of the flood, the Civil Defense Command of Luong Son commune and the functional agencies of Luong Son commune mobilized forces to the scene, supporting people to move their properties and livestock out of the danger zone; at the same time, preparing vehicles and supplies to be ready to respond in case of emergency.
Mr. Vo Tien Trung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong Son Commune, said: "This morning, floodwaters began to recede, but many low-lying areas continued to be flooded. The locality is focusing on supporting households to clean up, deal with the consequences, and prevent epidemics. At the same time, the People's Committee of the commune is counting the damage to have a plan to support the affected people."
The leader of the People's Committee of Luong Son commune said that the locality continues to monitor the flood situation, regularly warn people, and proactively develop response plans to minimize damage to people and property.
