On November 9, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung visited, encouraged and gave gifts to people who suffered heavy losses in storm No. 13 - Kalmaegi in Gia Lai .
Specifically, the working delegation of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung directly visited localities heavily affected by the storm, including coastal communes in Gia Lai, including Quy Nhon Dong ward, Tuy Phuoc Dong commune, and De Gi commune.
The Deputy Prime Minister sympathized with the loss of people whose houses collapsed, had their roofs blown off, or were damaged in the storm, and encouraged them to focus on repairing them and soon stabilize their lives.
At the same time, funding was given to support people in building and repairing 20 houses, worth 60 million VND/house. In addition, 150 gifts were given to people whose property was damaged in the storm.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, during this storm, Gia Lai province did a good job of preparing for response by deciding to evacuate 300,000 people, minimizing human losses.
To overcome the consequences of the storm, the Deputy Prime Minister asked Gia Lai province to focus on environmental treatment, cleaning up, and ensuring normal activities and daily life for the people. Priority should be given to resuming electricity and water supply, and repairing traffic and telecommunications infrastructure.
Pay attention to supporting people whose houses have collapsed, had their roofs blown off, or been damaged by the storm to have stable accommodation. Immediately start restoring production, ensuring economic growth.

Previously, on November 8, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung mobilized Vietcombank, Agribank and the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to support Gia Lai province with 9 billion VND to overcome the consequences of storm No. 13.
It is known that the consequences of storm No. 13 - Kalmaegi in Gia Lai province were 2 deaths, 16 injuries, about 200 houses completely collapsed and nearly 24,000 houses damaged or had their roofs blown off. Damage to boats, aquaculture cages, rice and crops was also very heavy.
In addition, the power grid infrastructure, communications, landscape trees, etc. were widely damaged, requiring a lot of time and resources to repair.
