Towards our compatriots in flood-affected areas

The Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care, the Vietnam Institute for Human Resources Research, in collaboration with other units, organized the program "Towards people in storm and flood areas", handing over 1,000 gifts to people severely affected by storm No. 11 in Gia Sang ward, Linh Son ward, Thai Nguyen province.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Delegation Work Committee, National Assembly Delegate of the 15th tenure shared: “In the past time, many working delegations from the Central to local levels, from businesses to people have joined hands to support people in flood-hit areas. Hundreds of tons of goods, food, supplies and tens of billions of VND have been transferred to the flooded areas of Thai Nguyen . The charity program of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care continues to join the flow of national solidarity, not only material, but also more precious is the spirit, so that people in flood-hit areas are not left behind, in the midst of adversity, human love becomes even stronger”.

With that spirit of mutual love, the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care and other units have given 1,000 charity gifts to people in two wards. Specifically: Gia Sang Ward 500 gifts; Linh Son Ward 500 gifts. Each gift is worth more than 1 million VND including: 10 kg of rice, necessities (blankets, mosquito nets, milk, clothes...) and cash worth 500,000 VND.

According to Mr. Lai Duc Hong, Head of the Organizing Committee, Deputy Director in charge of the Institute for Cultural Development and Community Health Care, the gifts given to the flood victims, although not of great material value, contain deep feelings, sharing and love of people from all over the country for the people of Thai Nguyen, imbued with national love and compatriotism. These are essential necessities to help people temporarily overcome the initial difficult period, gradually stabilize their lives.

Ms. Ha Thi Bich Hong, Party Secretary, Chairwoman of Linh Son Ward People's Council, said that due to the impact of storm No. 11 (storm Matmo), Linh Son Ward, Thai Nguyen Province suffered extremely serious damage. Nearly 10,000 households were flooded, lost many properties, some houses collapsed and sank. The entire area of ​​rice, vegetables, and livestock was lost.
