Vietnam maintains its appeal as an attractive tourist destination for Russians.

According to a VNA reporter in Moscow, the Russian Tourism Union (RUTI) has just announced positive information related to the tourism industry in Vietnam as well as some Southeast Asian countries despite having just experienced a heavy storm.

RUTI reports that no tours will be canceled in the near future, and that demand for travel is currently increasing sharply, especially ahead of the school holidays. Specifically, the number of Russian tourists booking to both Vietnam and Thailand has increased in the past week and will last until April-May next year.

According to reports, major resorts in Vietnam have quickly stabilized after Typhoon Kalmaegi. Mr. Andrey Podkolzin, Director of Public Relations of ITM Group, assessed that the situation is stable, people and authorities are quickly overcoming the consequences of the storm. During the storm, tourists were not affected as local authorities promptly provided information to local people and tourists to take timely response measures.

Travel companies in Vietnam and Thailand confirm that the weather has little effect on tourists' vacations.
