Northwest-style art space in the heart of the Red River Festival

In order to honor cultural values, promote the image and tourism potential of the locality, from November 18 to 24, 2025, at Dinh Le Square (Lao Cai ward), a series of activities will take place: "Experiencing ethnic cultural space, displaying culture and tourism; performing folk cultural rituals and performing arts of ethnic groups in Lao Cai province" - one of the important highlights of the Red River Festival 2025.

According to the plan of the Red River Festival Organizing Committee, the activities are designed to be large-scale, rich and imbued with the cultural identity of the Northwest region, including: cultural and tourism exhibition space, Red River cultural journey, "Lung Lieng Non Cao" fashion show, "Identity in Harmony" art program, along with many ethnic cultural experiences and folk games.

In particular, the Opening Ceremony taking place at 8:00 p.m. on November 18 will kick off the series of events with a special art program, recreating the historical and cultural flow of the Red River civilization associated with the development of Lao Cai province.

During the Festival, visitors will be able to admire the exhibition space "Red River Culture - Convergence of Colors". Here, visitors will have the opportunity to explore heritage, documents, artifacts and models of Red River culture, "Lao Cai in the economic corridor and the Red River"; visit the exhibition space of publications and documents with the theme: "Red River Cultural Journey" and the online exhibition "Red River - Past, present and future".

In addition, Lao Cai province also introduced an investment and tourism promotion space - a place to promote the image of "Lao Cai - Where the colors of the Northwest converge", demonstrating the role of an international tourism center connecting in the economic corridor of Kunming - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh.

Visitors can also immerse themselves in the cultural space of Lao Cai ethnic groups with rituals, musical instruments, traditional crafts, cuisine and costumes, and folk games. At 9:00 a.m. on November 21, Dinh Le Square will perform excerpts of traditional folk cultural rituals to introduce and promote the cultural identity of Lao Cai ethnic groups, including: The new green rice festival "THEN PANG MAU" of the Tay people in Nghia Do; The Ghost Chasing Ceremony "Nhe Kho Sinh" of the Bo Y people, Muong Khuong commune; The wedding ceremony of the Red Dao people, Tan Hop commune.

In particular, the fashion show "Lung lieng non cao" on the evening of November 23 promises to be an impressive highlight, with the participation of models, beauty queens and collections combining traditional costumes with a modern feel.

The Red River Festival 2025 is not only an opportunity to affirm the position, cultural identity and creative vitality of the ethnic people of Lao Cai province, but also opens up opportunities for cooperation, promotion, investment attraction and development of green and sustainable tourism in the region.
