On November 9, at the Youth Cultural House, the Lao Dong Newspaper coordinated to organize the program "Connecting human resources with employers - Job Link 2025".
The program has the participation of more than 50 booths, providing about 6,000 job opportunities. More than 10,000 workers participate and connect directly with employers, most of whom are young workers.
Within the framework of the program, the forum "Improving the quality of human resources to meet the requirements of the labor market in the new context" took place.
Sharing at the forum, Mr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, said that Ho Chi Minh City is the largest labor center in the country, about 87% of employed people are considered skilled workers, much higher than in other localities.
However, this number is still not enough to fully meet the requirements of the knowledge economy and the international integration process.

Therefore, it is necessary for training units, vocational schools, colleges and universities to promptly review their training programs and content to ensure they are suitable for the actual needs of businesses and the modern labor market.

Specifically, in the past, workers needed long-term jobs and stable salaries. But now, wherever there is a higher income and better job, workers will move immediately. In addition, workers today do not like to receive monthly salaries but want to switch to weekly salaries.
Ms. Luong Thi Toi, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, added that in the period of 2025-2030, the Vietnamese labor market will develop in the direction of digital economy - automation - green transition - renewable energy, clean transportation, and efficient logistics. Many new jobs will be created and require workers to regularly equip themselves with expertise and skills to meet the requirements.

According to Ms. Luong Thi Toi, the upcoming job trend will focus on areas such as: AI, data, automation, renewable energy, logistics and financial management... This is a big challenge for the labor force in labor-intensive industries due to the concentration of many unskilled workers who have not been recognized professionally during the training process.

Also at the forum, leaders of universities, colleges, corporations and businesses gave opinions that brought new perspectives and new approaches, but all shared the same desire to strengthen the connection between businesses and training units, creating high-quality human resources to serve the country's development.
