The OCOP product classification and evaluation council has just held a meeting to evaluate and classify OCOP products in 2025 (phase 1).
There are 99 product profiles proposed for OCOP product recognition, including: 55 new recognition profiles, 36 re-recognition profiles and 8 star-upgrade profiles. The number of communes and wards submitting products is 41/124 communes and wards with 60 subjects.

Products are diverse in types, linked to local potential advantages. |
According to the evaluation council, the new products are diverse in types, have clear raw material origins, are produced locally, and are associated with the potential advantages of agricultural products, craft villages, and typical products of each commune and ward. The product quality is relatively stable, with potential for market expansion.
The subjects are initially interested in advertising, trade promotion and digital transformation in product introduction. However, some product profiles are still missing or not completed as required; some products are still simple in design, packaging is not really attractive...
Through the evaluation and classification results, the council reviewed, evaluated and submitted to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to decide to recognize 54 3-star products (1 product did not meet the conditions), 37 4-star products and proposed the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to evaluate and classify 5 potential 5-star products.
