This event is considered a "strategic stepping stone" to help standardize the movement, develop the coaching team and nurture the next generation of athletes for the capital's top sports .
Under the authorization of the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, the competition was organized by the Hanoi Taekwondo Federation in coordination with the Taekwondo Department - Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center in a methodical and serious manner, demonstrating the spirit of professionalization of the martial arts movement in the capital.
The program was attended by Head of the Department of Sports Management, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Dao Quoc Thang, Director of Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center Dinh Van Luyen, Chairman of Hanoi Taekwondo Federation Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of Hanoi Taekwondo Federation Ho Anh Tuan, Head of Taekwondo Department, Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center.
Within the framework of the program, 490 martial artists, including 341 1st-rank martial artists, 126 2nd-rank martial artists, and 23 3rd-rank martial artists participated in technical, sparring, and physical tests... The exam was organized in the form of online scoring according to the national digital transformation process of the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Hanoi Taekwondo Federation Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed that this is a competition organized in a systematic and professional manner, contributing to helping coaches and martial artists become more aware of their responsibilities, discipline, and martial arts spirit. "It is important to let the movement develop from a technical and organizational foundation," he emphasized.

Talking to reporters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan, Head of Taekwondo Department - Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center, Vice President and General Secretary of Hanoi Taekwondo Federation said that the annual promotion exams help the Federation grasp the quality of the movement, thereby discovering outstanding factors for training and improvement.
However, Mr. Ho Anh Tuan frankly admitted that Vietnamese Taekwondo in general is slowing down due to the lack of international training opportunities, which limits athletes' exposure. Fortunately, Hanoi Taekwondo has just upgraded its living area to "3-star hotel" standards - with TV, washing machine, refrigerator - to help athletes practice with peace of mind. The city is also looking for highly qualified foreign experts to ensure long-term companionship and dedication in the journey of training top athletes in the new training cycle.
The issue that worries experts the most is the “brain drain”. Many good athletes, even those who have won continental medals, change their career after finishing high school because they have not received support from their families. “If parents do not see a sustainable future for the sports profession, it will be very difficult for us to retain them,” Mr. Tuan shared.
From now until the end of the year, Hanoi Taekwondo will focus on preparing for the winter training cycle, perfecting physical strength and competitive spirit to be ready for the 2026 tournaments. With the combination of the Department and the Federation, Hanoi Taekwondo is demonstrating a methodical development strategy: Standardizing the movement, expanding the training network, retaining talent and investing for the top.
