Ho Chi Minh City supports Hue with 20 billion VND to overcome the consequences of floods

On the afternoon of November 11, a working delegation from Ho Chi Minh City came to present 20 billion VND to support the people of Hue city to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

The delegation of Ho Chi Minh City was led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc. Receiving and working with the delegation were Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Chi Tai; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Thi Ai Van.

Speaking at the reception, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed his deep sympathy for the damage caused by floods and natural disasters in Hue City in recent times. At the same time, he affirmed that this sentiment and support shows the heart of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City towards the people of the Central region in general.

This support also strengthens the close relationship, affection and sharing between the government and people of the two cities in particular, contributing to helping the people of Hue city soon stabilize their lives, restore production and daily life after the natural disaster, and continue to develop worthy of its position as a cultural and tourist center of the whole country.

On behalf of the leaders of Hue city, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Chi Tai sincerely thanked the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City for their timely and meaningful attention and support to the people of Hue city.

He said that immediately after the recent natural disaster, Hue city focused on mobilizing forces to overcome the consequences, ensure environmental sanitation, care for people's lives, and soon bring daily activities and production back to normal. The support from Ho Chi Minh city is a great encouragement, adding strength for Hue to continue to overcome difficulties, recover and develop sustainably.

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Chi Tai affirmed that Hue City will allocate and use support resources effectively, for the right purposes, and in a timely manner to households heavily affected by natural disasters, helping people to soon stabilize their lives.

On the afternoon of November 11, from the 20 billion VND support source, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation came to present 300 million VND to repair Tay Loc Kindergarten; support 200 million VND for two households to build houses in Loc An commune; at the same time, present gifts to 78 poor households in Phu Xuan ward, each household including a gift worth 500,000 VND and 1.5 million VND in cash; present support to 20 preschool children, each child including a gift worth 500,000 VND and 1.5 million VND in cash.
