Groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Ia Lop Primary and Secondary Boarding School

This is one of 72 projects in the list of 100 inter-level vocational training schools to be invested in and built in 2025 in border communes across the country. Previously, 28 schools had started construction and were under construction. The groundbreaking ceremony was broadcast live on VTV1 and online at 13 locations nationwide.

At the main bridge in Thanh Hoa province, the ceremony was attended by Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; leaders of the Government, central ministries and branches and representatives of provinces where schools were started.

Attending the ceremony at Ia Lop bridge were comrades: Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thien Van, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors and local leaders.

This is considered an unprecedented large-scale groundbreaking ceremony in the education sector, demonstrating the determination of the Party and State in caring for the education cause, especially in remote, isolated and border areas. The projects are expected to be completed before August 30, 2026.

Ia Lop Primary and Secondary School was built on the basis of merging Nguyen Trai Primary School and Tran Hung Dao Secondary School. The project has a total investment of more than 105 billion VND from the central budget, on the basis of new construction and upgrading from the foundation of two old schools. The project is invested by the Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, implemented in the period of 2025 - 2026.

The project is planned on a land use area of nearly 51,000 m²; total construction area of more than 6,670 m²; total construction floor area of about 13,087 m², with a maximum height of 3 floors. The average construction density of the whole area is about 13.1%, land use coefficient is 0.26 times.

The project includes the following items: classroom block, dormitory area, dining room - kitchen, administrative - management area, auxiliary works, technical infrastructure and teaching equipment according to modern standards of the PTNT school model.

Provincial leaders give gifts to students in difficult circumstances.

The investment in the construction of the Inter-level Rural Development School in the border commune of Ia Lop is of great significance, contributing to the concretization of the Party and State's major policies and guidelines on ethnic affairs and education in particularly difficult areas. When completed and put into use, the school will create conditions for ethnic minority children in the area to study in a fully equipped, spacious, and modern boarding environment; contributing to improving the intellectual level and quality of human resources in the border area.

Along with that, the project will create a driving force to promote socio-economic development, improve people's lives, strengthen the trust of ethnic people in the Party and State's policies and guidelines; at the same time, contribute to maintaining political security, social order and safety and building an increasingly strong border area.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented 20 gifts to students in difficult circumstances and 20 gifts to families in especially difficult circumstances in Ia Lop commune.
