Xuan Dai Border Guard Station visits and supports people affected by storm No. 13

Xuan Dai Border Guard Station has just coordinated with Phu Yen Firefly Charity Association to organize a delegation to visit and give gifts to families who suffered heavy damage caused by storm No. 13 in Xuan Dai and Song Cau wards.

Accordingly, 7 families whose houses collapsed were each supported with 11 million VND, helping them have more resources to repair and rebuild their houses. In the case of a person who died in an accident at sea, they were also supported with 11 million VND.

In addition, two owners of fishing boats that sank at sea each received 6 million VND to stabilize their lives and maintain their livelihoods. The total value of support is 100 million VND.

Over the past few days, many officers and soldiers of Xuan Dai Border Guard Station have been supporting people and schools to overcome the consequences of storm No. 13.

At the same time, the unit coordinated with Hanh Nguyen Club to implement the "Zero-VND Kitchen" model in the form of a field kitchen, cooking and distributing 1,000 free meals to people facing difficulties due to the storm, especially households that currently have no food.

The unit also coordinated with Phu Yen Firefly Charity Association to donate 60 rations, bread and necessities to the people.

Major Vu Ly Huynh, Political Commissar , Deputy Head of Xuan Dai Border Guard Station, said: "In order to support people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13, the unit has sent 68 officers and soldiers and coordinated with volunteer organizations to carry out many practical activities.

The gifts show the heart and care of the border guards and charitable organizations for people in flood-affected areas.
