The project aims to bring the best products of Vietnam's mountainous regions to the community nationwide, while creating a sustainable fund for the Food Bank network to support meals, scholarships and livelihoods for children and the poor in the highlands.
The items in this project are carefully selected from typical mountainous regions of the country, bringing cultural and spiritual stories of ethnic minorities.
We can mention ancient Shan Tuyet tea, Seng Cu rice, Tu Le sticky rice, Moc Chau wild honey, smoked buffalo meat, mac khen-cham cheo, Bac Ha corn wine, Hau plum, dried apples, the products crystallized from the earth and the skillful hands of the highland people in the provinces: Son La, Dien Bien , Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, ... contributing to completing the picture of Vietnam's highland specialties. Each product is a cultural story and national pride.
Sharing about this project, Ms. Cam Thi Chuyen, President of the Red Cross Society of Son La province, said: “The highland provinces, including Son La, have many precious products, but market access is still difficult. With this project, we hope to help people's products be identified by quality, told by cultural stories and spread by humanity.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khoi, Chairman of the Vietnam Food Bank Network, shared: “The Highland Specialties Project is a journey to connect the good values of the Vietnamese people. Each product not only carries the flavor of the mountains and forests, but also contains the pride and aspirations of the ethnic people.
According to Mr. Khoi, the e-commerce platform www.dacsanvungcao.vn will officially operate at the end of this year with the first four main product groups: Culinary specialties; clean highland agricultural products; handicrafts, indigenous culture and typical specialties.
Each order will donate 5 - 10% of revenue to the program "Meals for children in mountainous areas", creating a fund to nurture and sustainably develop community activities.
