Currently, the unit is urgently repairing a landslide section through Xuan Lanh commune, Dak Lak , more than 90 meters long, caused by storm No. 13 on the evening of November 6.
Hundreds of workers in 3 shifts, 4 shifts, are at the site working continuously 24/7. Regardless of the difficult terrain, the construction teams are still working day and night, urgently working with the highest determination to soon open the railway line, ensuring the restoration of traffic and the transport of goods and passengers through the area.

To overcome the landslide, the contractor urgently opened a service road connecting National Highway 19C to the landslide area, creating conditions for trucks to transport materials. Along with that, trains carrying rocks and technical materials were also arranged to run to both ends of the landslide, shortening the supply time and speeding up the construction progress. Surveying and measuring the terrain continued to be carried out in parallel to adjust appropriate solutions, ensuring both technical and safety for construction forces in complex geological conditions.
According to Vietnam Railway Corporation, the construction solution is divided into two phases. Currently, the construction unit has implemented traffic assurance work in phase 1 with solutions such as: building a temporary bridge with two abutments, two pillars and three steel girder spans, ensuring that trains can travel through the landslide area at a limited speed of about 5 km/h. After the route is opened, phase 2 will be deployed with the construction of fixed works, permanently reinforcing the roadbed to ensure long-term safety.
While waiting for the problem to be fixed, the railway industry also organized means of transporting passengers between affected stations. Statistics as of November 9 showed that more than 3,500 passengers had been transported from 21 passenger trains affected by storm No. 13.
Due to the impact of storm No. 13 causing a landslide at Km 1136+800 to Km 1136+925 in the Van Canh - Phuoc Lanh section on the North - South railway through the two provinces of Dak Lak and Gia Lai, by the morning of November 9, the railway industry had stopped running 45 passenger trains from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City. The railway industry also reduced the frequency of passenger trains running through the area under construction at the Van Canh - Phuoc Lanh section.
Traffic adjustment on La Son - Hoa Lien highway
From today until November 20, the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway, La Son - Hoa Lien section, will only allow one lane of traffic at three points at risk of landslides, between 5am and 5pm. Authorities will be on duty 24/7 to promptly respond to incidents.

The 77.5 km long La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway connects Hue City and Da Nang City. Due to scattered rains, the slopes are full of water, there is a high risk of landslides, and at night the road is still potentially dangerous due to fog. Passenger cars and trucks with more than 6 axles are prohibited from traveling during this time. Signs and instructions will be added at intersections.
Since late October, heavy rains have caused many serious landslides, with rocks and soil spilling onto the road, causing serious traffic congestion on this route.
