The largest hydroelectric plant in the South increases flood discharge, warning of flooding risk

(DN) - On November 10, Tri An Hydropower Company issued a notice about increasing water discharge through the spillway.

Accordingly, at 8:00 a.m. on November 10, the company increased the water discharge through the spillway from 480,000 m3/s to 640 m3/s. At 2:00 p.m. on November 10, the company continued to increase the water discharge through the spillway to 800 m3/s.

On November 9, the company adjusted the spillway discharge twice, from 160,000 m3/s to 480 m3/s. Thus, in the past 3 days, Tri An Hydropower Plant has increased the spillway discharge 5 times.

Increased spill discharge may affect downstream areas, so the company recommends that people proactively respond to avoid possible damage.
