Focus on site clearance, speed up construction progress of roads connecting cultural heritage, tourism and economic development along the Red River

The project to build a route connecting cultural heritage, tourism and economic development along the Red River is a key traffic project, which has the meaning of expanding development space, linking heritages, creating momentum to promote economic and social growth in the Red River area. Currently, localities, investors and contractors are focusing resources to speed up site clearance (GPMB), infrastructure construction, striving to complete the project on schedule.

In parallel with the construction, the site clearance work was urgently deployed. The entire route has reclaimed 107.3 hectares of land (reaching 39% of the area required for site clearance), and relocated 606 out of 1,013 graves (reaching 60%). The Project Management Board has handed over the landmark placement dossier to localities for land inventory, land extraction, and compensation, support, and resettlement plans. Some localities have approved compensation plans for public land and agricultural land and organized payments to people.

In Son Nam ward, the total recovered land area   project   over 42 hectares, with 1,612 plots of land, including 50 residential plots. The locality has completed the inventory of agricultural land, reviewed the origin of the land, appraised the price, and approved the compensation plan for 208 households; the households have received money and handed over the land. Up to now, the ward has handed over 1.35 km of the field site to the contractor.

The Project Management Board recommends that localities complete 100% of site clearance for the entire project in 2025, especially at locations that require weak soil treatment with wicks and loading .

Project disbursement progress reached 1,110 billion VND.

Also   according to the leader   Project Management Board , another major difficulty is the source of materials. The project's need for sand for foundation is about 1.8 million m³, while the whole province only has   3   River sand mine (Tan Hung, Hoang Hanh, Quang Chau) with a total reserve of more than 650,000 m³, maximum exploitation capacity of about 200,000 m³/year. At the same time, many large infrastructure projects are being implemented, causing the demand for materials to increase, the actual price is much different from the announced price.

With the close direction of the province, the coordination of departments, branches, localities and the consensus of the people, the work of site clearance for the heritage connection road is being actively implemented. When completed, the road will open a new development axis, connecting historical, cultural and tourist values ​​along the Red River, creating momentum for sustainable development of the province and the Red River Delta.
