According to the unit leader, by early this morning, the water level had receded below the railway bedrock. Previously, many sections passing through Hue City had been washed away by floodwaters, leaving the rails exposed and the roadbed unstable. During the night of October 30, hundreds of railway officials and workers were mobilized to work overtime overnight, urgently reinforcing, adding materials, and checking the stability of the railbed, in order to promptly clear the line as soon as possible.

At 6:30 a.m., the train carrying rocks from Sy Hien station was arranged to enter Van Xa station to test the track and add rocks to the drifted and damaged areas.

By this morning, after 3 days of congestion, the entire North-South railway line was basically running smoothly, except for the SE5/6 and SE9/10 trains, which were still temporarily suspended due to the impact of the previous schedule adjustment. During the time the route was cut off, the railway industry organized the safe transportation of passengers through the flooded area.

Previously, from 4 p.m. on October 27, the railway section through Hue City was flooded 0.15-0.2 m high, forcing the railway industry to block the route. At the same time, the water level of the Huong River rose close to the bottom of the Bach Ho and Da Vien bridge girders, only 0.1 m away. To protect the project, Binh Tri Thien Railway Joint Stock Company dispatched two trains carrying a total of 1,150 tons of stone from Dong Hoi ( Quang Tri ) and Huong Thuy (Hue) to block the two bridges, increasing the load to prevent the risk of being swept away by floodwaters.

At 10:00 a.m. on October 29, when the Huong River water level was 1.2 m above the bottom of the bridge girder, the company withdrew two trains to Hue station. However, only 8 hours later, the Huong River flood rose again, only 0.04 m above the bottom of the girder, so the unit had to send two trains back to the bridge and move the train off the bridge on the morning of October 30 to serve the railway line.
