Looking back at 10 years of Chinese literature in Vietnam

On October 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association coordinated with the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and Chibooks Culture Joint Stock Company to organize a meeting and exchange program with writer Liu Zhenyun and a workshop: "Looking back at 10 years of Chinese Literature in Vietnam", from 2015 to 2025.

The workshop is one of the activities in the series of events of the first Vietnam-China Literature Exchange in 2025.

Speaking at the program, writer Bich Ngan, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, said, “Literary exchange is gradually moving towards the goal of establishing two-way exchange, Vietnamese works reaching Chinese readers and vice versa. This is an important factor for cultural integration, a bridge connecting the cultural depth and the depth of the human soul of the two countries.”

Also at the conference, there was an exchange with Chinese writer Liu Zhenyun. He was born in 1958 in Yanjin County, Henan Province (China), and is currently a professor in the Department of Literature, Renmin University of China. His outstanding works include: Tower of the City , New Soldiers , Chicken Feathers All Over the Land , Officials , I Am Liu Leaping , One Sentence Against Ten Thousand Sentences ... Notable among these is the work One Sentence Against Ten Thousand Sentences which won the 8th Mao Dun Literature Award (China's most prestigious literary award).
