Bringing the ao dai and conical hat to the world.
Over the past five years, content creation has made Ms. Mac Hoang Y Linh (36 years old, Thanh Khe ward) feel proud because she has contributed to telling the story of Da Nang culture in particular and Vietnam in general to the world.
Ms. Linh said that she is building content on digital platforms to reach both domestic and international audiences. She has her own storytelling style on each platform, but the common thread remains sharing authentic travel experiences and spreading the beauty, culture, and people of Da Nang.
At the same time, she brought the idea of showcasing Vietnamese women's conical hats and ao dai (traditional dress) on her trips abroad to introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends. To date, she owns a TikTok channel with 65,000 followers and a YouTube channel with nearly 5,000 subscribers.
What impressed her about Da Nang was the harmonious blend of nature and daily life. This provided her with a diverse range of ideas for creating content. From the winding coastal roads and traditional craft villages in the suburbs, to venturing further afield to the Co Tu people's homes...
“When promoting Da Nang, I focus on content about local tourism experiences, exploring nature and cultural spaces. I believe tourism is not just about checking in at places, but also about understanding cultural stories. I'm happy that many friends have messaged me saying they want to visit Da Nang or Vietnam after watching my videos. I think it's a joy when the content I create can inspire them to explore new places. In the future, I will continue to delve deeper into local culture and traditional crafts to bring beautiful images closer to international friends,” Linh shared.
Ms. Linh affirmed that not only she, but anyone, especially young people, can become storytellers for their homeland. The important thing is that they have sincerity and enthusiasm. That is the most natural and sustainable way to promote tourism and local culture.
Spreading the beauty of the region
Sharing the same viewpoint, Mr. Bui Ngoc Cong (28 years old, Thang Binh commune) confided that in order to create content on platforms to spread the beauty, culture, and life, it is not only necessary to be sincere in each photo but also to constantly strive for each piece of content one wants to convey.

Like Linh, Cong has also shifted his focus to content creation for nearly five years. For him, this job has given him valuable life experiences and allowed him to accumulate more experience.
Cong said he is active on three social media platforms under the name "Rot's Blog". These include Facebook (175,000 followers), TikTok (224,000 followers), and Instagram (122,000 followers).
He particularly invested in trips to remote and culturally rich areas to gather content. These trips continued, and his passion for the work grew day by day. In 2025, he was delighted to win third prize in the Vietnam Tourism Creative Contest, "Travel to Love," on YouTube Shorts, organized by the Vietnam National Tourism Administration.
“Da Nang is a land with beautiful scenery and rich culture and history. In some of my videos, I use the local dialect to spread the beauty of the regional language to friends across the country. For me, each creative video is an opportunity to learn and access different cultural identities. Seeing Da Nang or moments from other places in Vietnam through its glorious history, magnificent landscapes, and the beauty of its ethnic groups helps me overcome barriers to diligently create engaging and interesting content. I believe that content that is only a few minutes long, if it has useful value, has an enormous reach. Currently, I am researching the tourism potential of mountainous areas such as Tay Giang, Dong Giang, and Phuoc Son to promote my hometown,” Cong said.
It's not just Linh and Cong; many other young people, like Alang Brac with his stories of the mountains, forests, and life of the Co Tu people, or Mai Quang Khanh, who spreads the beauty of Da Nang's friendly, approachable, and hospitable people, and Le Thi Nhung, the founder of the "Review Da Nang 4.0" page with over 400,000 members, are contributing to promoting the beauty and people of the city to tourists near and far... Through this, they are media ambassadors who are daily contributing to spreading positive messages to the community.
