The competition, launched in June 2025, attracted participation from students and families nationwide. After the preliminary and semi-final rounds, the six most outstanding contestants advanced to the final round with many creative and emotionally rich storytelling performances, inspired by famous children's literature and history books.

First prize went to Nguyen Ngoc Minh Chau, a student in class 2A7 of Lomonosov Primary School in Hanoi , for her vivid portrayal of a character from the play "The Adventures of Cricket". The judges highly appreciated the contestant's confidence, ability to convey a humanistic message, and her innocent and relatable performance.
Second prize was awarded to Van Huynh Ngoc Diep for her storytelling based on the work "My Neighbor Totoro". Third prize went to Pham Minh Bao Ngoc for her moving historical story from the novel "Red Rain"...
In addition to the main awards, the organizers also presented the "Reading Encouragement" award to contestants who were eliminated in the semi-finals; and awarded the prize for the school with the most participating students to Lomonosov Primary School. On this occasion, the program also donated a bookshelf to Nguyen Dang Son Secondary School to further spread the spirit of love of reading in schools.
According to the organizers, the competition is not only a playground for children but also contributes to nurturing their appreciation, imagination, and humanistic values through each page of a book. From stories told with the genuine emotions of children, the love of reading is expected to continue to be fostered in families, schools, and communities.
As part of the program, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper is also launching the second "Children's Book Storytelling Contest" in 2026. The organizing committee will begin accepting entries from May 19, 2026.
