In anticipation of the 2026 Children's Action Month with the theme "Happy, Safe, and Steadfast Children in the Digital Age," the Children's Health Magazine, in collaboration with relevant authorities, is organizing the "Day of Connecting Compassion for Children" at the Hanoi Children's Palace, 17 Pham Hung Street, Hanoi.

Opening the event, Dr. Tran Doan Tien, Editor-in-Chief of the Children's Health Magazine and Head of the Organizing Committee, stated that the program was designed to create a space for play, experiences, connection, and comprehensive care for children. At the same time, it was also an opportunity to bring together businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, doctors, and philanthropists to support children with disabilities and children in particularly difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Disabled People and Orphans, emphasized that what disabled children need is not only sharing but also opportunities, trust, and long-term support from society. When given the right conditions, they can fully study, work, and make positive contributions to the community.
The opening ceremony is expected to be attended by representatives from ministries, departments, social organizations, businesses, and a large number of parents and children from many provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong , Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, etc.
The organizers stated that the event goes beyond a typical charitable activity. It serves as a space to connect compassionate hearts, spreading a spirit of community responsibility in caring for, protecting, and supporting vulnerable children, contributing to ensuring that no child is left behind on their journey towards the future.

Within the framework of the program, many practical activities will be implemented such as free health check-ups and consultations in nutrition, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, dentistry, and mental health; organizing interactive play and experience zones; community charity stalls; stalls displaying products made by children with disabilities; art performances, children's fashion shows, and a music gala.

Notably, on the morning of May 30, 2026, the Organizing Committee, in coordination with the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department (A05 - Ministry of Public Security), organized a workshop on skills for protecting children in cyberspace. The program aimed to equip parents and children with knowledge and skills for safe internet use in the context of increasingly rapid digital transformation.

Another highlight of the event was the seminar "Multidisciplinary Approach in Diagnosis, Counseling, and Psychotherapy for Children with Developmental Disorders," held on the morning of May 31, 2026. The program featured experts in psychotherapy, special education, and specialized pediatric and psychiatric hospitals, aiming to raise community awareness about children's mental health and provide practical support solutions for parents and caregivers.
According to the organizers, the "Connecting with Compassion for Children" event goes beyond immediate support activities and aims for the long-term goal of accompanying children with disabilities on their journey to adulthood and social integration. Through career guidance, vocational training, skill development, and job placement, the program hopes to contribute to building a foundation for these children to confidently assert their self-worth and lead independent lives.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee will present many meaningful gifts, including 2,000 free eye examinations for disabled children and children in special circumstances; and at the same time, honor individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made significant contributions to supporting disadvantaged children. This is expected to be a meaningful and humane event, strongly spreading the spirit of sharing and community responsibility for a better future for Vietnamese children.
