On the morning of May 29th, the People's Committee of Lang Son province held a ceremony to launch the program "Protecting and supporting children's development in the online environment in the period 2026-2030" as part of the nationwide implementation of this program by the Government.
Attending the program were Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Police, professional departments, and police officers from communes and wards; representatives of leaders from provincial departments, agencies, organizations, and armed forces; telecommunications units; representatives of school principals, teachers, and outstanding students.

Notably, nearly 30 KOLs – influential and reputable individuals on social media, administrators of large groups, forums, and online communities in the province – participated and supported the program before, during, and after its implementation, contributing to raising community awareness about protecting children in the online environment.

At the launching ceremony, leaders of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee and local functional departments presented many meaningful gifts to outstanding students in the area, demonstrating the province's strong determination to build a safe and healthy online environment for future generations.
Also on the morning of May 29th, the People's Committee of Lang Son province simultaneously organized the Launch Ceremony for the 2026 Action Month for Children with the theme "Happy, Safe, and Steadfast Children in the Digital Age" (taking place from June 1st to June 30th, 2026).
At the ceremony, the organizing committee launched a fundraising campaign for the Lang Son Provincial Children's Protection Fund and collected nearly 470 million VND. According to a report by the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, currently, the province still has more than 2,000 children with special circumstances, over 1,600 children with severe disabilities, and more than 1,300 orphans who are in dire need of community support.

In the first five months of 2026, all levels and sectors in the province actively mobilized resources to build projects and carry out activities for children in remote areas, border regions, and disadvantaged children, with a total value of over 2 billion VND.
The entire province also organized the distribution of over 2,000 gifts, scholarships, and essential supplies through volunteer programs and activities, while ensuring that 100% of children under 6 years old (over 61,000 children) received health insurance cards in a timely manner…

On this occasion, Lang Son province awarded scholarships to 38 children from disadvantaged backgrounds who excelled in their studies despite difficult circumstances in communes classified as Zone III, each scholarship worth 2 million VND; and presented 176 gifts (each worth 800,000 VND, including cash, summer blankets, and water bottles) to children from communes, wards, the Provincial Comprehensive Social Protection Center, Loc Binh Hope Center, and Lang Son Hope Center…
