Gia Lai provincial leaders meet and dialogue with businesses

(GLO)- On the afternoon of July 29, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee organized a dialogue program between provincial leaders and local businesses.

The dialogue program was chaired by comrades: Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Chau Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Tuan Anh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Also participating in the program were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, and typical enterprises and cooperatives in the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized: Gia Lai Province identifies the "health" of enterprises as the leading factor determining the recovery and growth of the economy . In particular, the internal strength from domestic enterprises plays a key role, being the foundation for effectively promoting external resources, creating a comprehensive resource for long-term development.

Therefore, today's dialogue program is organized for provincial leaders to directly listen to the thoughts, aspirations, sharing and recommendations from businesses, associations and professional associations in the area.

In order for the conference to be effective, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested delegates to boldly express their opinions, be frank, and get to the point, avoiding raising issues of a personal nature. Departments, branches, and localities need to answer frankly, without evasion, showing a spirit of solidarity, high responsibility, openness, and closeness to reality.

"I hope that, after the program, the difficulties and recommendations of enterprises will be studied, considered and resolved; contributing to creating a truly transparent, open, effective and friendly investment and business environment. From there, it will add new motivation and new momentum for the sustainable development of the business community of Gia Lai province" - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

At the conference, delegates heard a brief report on the production and business situation of enterprises in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks in the last 6 months of 2025.

Accordingly, the province currently has about 17,500 enterprises and 66,000 business households in operation, contributing more than 80% of GRDP and nearly 23% of total state budget revenue; employing nearly 94% of the total labor force in the province. Business registration activities have many positive changes. As of July 18, there were 1,507 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 12,817 billion.

The stable development and operation of enterprises have contributed to promoting the GRDP growth rate of the whole province, estimated at 7.49%, higher than the same period in 2024. Key industries maintained a good growth rate, especially industry-construction (up 10.48%), services (up 7.64%), agriculture-forestry-fishery (up 4.41%); export turnover increased sharply, reaching 1,668 million USD.

At the dialogue, a number of difficulties and problems were proposed by enterprises to the provincial leaders and relevant departments and branches for resolution, focusing on contents such as: considering low-interest loans for clean agricultural product processing enterprises; simplifying administrative procedures in borrowing capital and accessing State support policies; considering collateral assets as assets formed in the future to be eligible for loans.

Along with that, there are policies to support production premises, land lease incentives for businesses to expand their operations, change the purpose of using land for production and business of businesses; establish a fund to support startups and innovation at the provincial level...
