Ta Lanh overcomes difficulties to build new countryside

The terrain of Ta Lanh village, Gia Hoi commune (Lao Cai province) is mainly high hills and mountains, people's lives mainly depend on combined agricultural and forestry production... Despite many difficulties, the Dao and Mong ethnic groups in Ta Lanh are determined to overcome difficulties to complete the construction of new rural areas.

The determination starts from the village Party Committee. Mr. Trieu Van Chu - Secretary of Ta Lanh village Party Committee said: In building new rural areas, the Party Committee determined that the most important thing is propaganda and mobilization to create consensus among the people. Propaganda and mobilization work is directed by the Party Committee to be implemented synchronously in many fields.

The Dao Ta Lanh people develop their economy from the hills and forests.

To develop the economy, Ta Lanh mobilized Dao and Mong people in the village to produce rice on the entire area; promoted livestock and poultry farming; and organized people to share production experiences in village meetings.

At the same time, with over 1,200 hectares of forest, mainly contracted forest, the village propagates to people to protect the forest, not to cut down or encroach on the forest and to take advantage of the vacant land to plant more bamboo, bamboo shoots, especially cardamom under the forest canopy to have more income.

Average income per capita in Ta Lanh currently reaches over 35 million VND/year.

Along with that, the village promoted the people's consensus to donate over 1,000 square meters of land, nearly 140 trees of all kinds, and dismantle over 250 meters of fence to serve the construction of the village's traffic roads.

Ta Lanh people contributed to concreting village roads.

Mrs. Ban Thi Dan shared: Understanding the meaning of building new rural areas, her family did not hesitate to donate land and demolish the fence to widen the village road.

Ta Lanh people also agreed to contribute over 400 million VND, of which over 150 million VND is in cash, the rest is in working days and sand and gravel to contribute with the State to build roads in the village.

The streets in Ta Lanh are regularly cleaned up by local people.

Ta Lanh village also actively mobilizes people to help poor households in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses to meet housing criteria; mobilizes people to practice a civilized lifestyle; maintain environmental hygiene...

Ta Lanh people built an incinerator to process waste.

Up to now, the rural appearance in Ta Lanh has been increasingly improved. Nearly 90% of the roads in the village have been concreted; the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved... contributing to the overall results of new rural construction in Gia Hoi commune.
