
During a visit to People's Physician, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Truong Son, former Deputy Minister of Health , on behalf of the Ho Chi Minh City leadership, Comrade Le Quoc Phong expressed gratitude for Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Truong Son's contributions to the healthcare system and the people's health care, especially in the development of advanced techniques, kidney transplantation, liver transplantation, and peripheral blood stem cell transplantation.

Comrade Le Quoc Phong shared that the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City will never forget the image of Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Truong Son in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. During that period, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Truong Son not only performed leadership duties but also served as a professional support for the medical team in the fight against the epidemic. He wished Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Truong Son good health and continued to monitor, contribute, and support the health sector of Ho Chi Minh City, especially as Ho Chi Minh City strives to become a medical center of the ASEAN region.

During a visit to congratulate People's Physician, Major General, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ho Chi Minh City, and former Director of Military Hospital 175 - Ministry of National Defense , Comrade Le Quoc Phong expressed his deep gratitude for the immense contributions that Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Hong Son has made to the medical sector, to the cause of caring for the health of soldiers and the people, as well as creating a connection between central and Ho Chi Minh City medical agencies.
Comrade Le Quoc Phong assessed that the Military Hospital 175 has built a spacious, modern, reputable, and high-quality facility, with a team of doctors and medical staff providing dedicated, professional, and attentive examination, treatment, and care, largely thanks to the efforts of Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Hong Son.
People's Physician, Major General, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Hong Son expressed his gratitude for the city leaders' sentiments and stated that he is currently working at the Central Committee for the Protection and Care of Cadre Health and teaching future generations of students and doctors. Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Hong Son affirmed that he will continue to contribute his intellect and experience to the development of the healthcare sector.
Regarding the association's work, after the merger, the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin currently cares for over 25,000 members, but only has 9 permanent staff members out of 30 contract workers; the association's headquarters in Cho Lon ward is just a dilapidated townhouse... The association hopes the city will pay attention to, support, and expedite the implementation of the project to build a new "Agent Orange Village" in Xuan Thoi Son commune, which has been delayed for many years.

Comrade Le Quoc Phong affirmed that he will monitor and direct relevant agencies to act quickly, striving to start construction on some necessary projects in the "Cam Village" project in August.
* On February 26th, a delegation of leaders from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, visited and congratulated People's Physician, Dr. Phan Van Bau, former Director of People's Hospital 115.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the persistent contributions of People's Physician, Doctor Phan Van Bau, to the strong development of People's Hospital 115 and the city's health sector.

The comrade noted that People's Hospital 115 is currently one of the leading hospitals in the city with many specialized areas and a strong reputation among the people of the city and the Southern region. In particular, the comrade was very impressed that doctors from People's Hospital 115 were invited by the World Health Organization to participate in writing treatment protocols for stroke.
Today's achievements are thanks to the contributions of generations of veteran medical professionals, including People's Physician, Dr. Phan Van Bau.

He emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City is aiming to become a livable global city, with strategies focused on investing in the development of healthcare, education, and innovation.
Following this direction, the city aims to establish a system of medical centers, hospitals, and universities that meet international standards, simultaneously satisfying domestic healthcare needs, attracting foreign patients, and training human resources for the international community.
Therefore, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc expects that People's Hospital 115 and People's Physician, Dr. Phan Van Bau, with their experience, talent, and intellect, will continue to make proposals, recommendations, and build a long-term vision to elevate the city's healthcare system.
City leaders will address difficulties and invest to enable hospitals to maximize their potential, building Ho Chi Minh City's position on the international medical map.
